Introduction
The SmartEye by PegasusAstro is an incredible device that combines a high resolution imaging sensor (IMX533) with a computer and miniature display screen in one package about the size of a large eyepiece. This instrument can be utilized on any telescope that has automatic tracking and supports 2″ eyepieces.
The SmartEye fits where you would place a 2″ eyepiece on a telescope. When in operation it captures and stacks images of the target the telescope is pointing at and displays the stacked image in the small display that appears where you would typically place your eye for observing through an eyepiece.
In addition to displaying the stacked image on led screen/eyepiece the SmartEye is a WiFi hot spot that anyone can connect to and view the object being imaged. Additionally observers can download the image on
